Henglong Dang
Henglong Dang is a system-minded leader of human-centered, socially-responsible innovation, specializing in translating complex socio-technical systems into prototypes, policies, and programs that scale measurable societal impact. As the Director of Organizational Strategy at DFDraw Lab, a multinational design and strategy studio, Dang leads organizational planning, structural reforms, and the implementation of long-range initiatives to ensure that the Lab’s execution frameworks are meticulously aligned with its mission to blend creativity and function into innovative experiences. As a researcher and member of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, Dang operates at the intersection of AI ethics, model alignment, and Human-Computer Interaction. His academic contributions have been recognized by the 27th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCII 2025), where he published research on a human-centered study on Financial Technology titled Revolutionizing Household Finance: A User-Centered Platform for Holistic Financial Management. A thinker and practical philosopher of technology, Dang is known for his analyses on the intersection of systems and society. Notably, Dang is the author of Echoes in the Machine: Relevance Gravity of Generative AI, in which he develops a conceptual framework on the “epistemic collapse” of modern usage of technology, and re-examines how algorithmic systems reshape meaning, trust, and intellectual infrastructure. Dang’s scholarship continues with Human-Centered, Sustainable, and Socially-Responsible Innovation, which offers a deep dive into the ethical imperatives of modern AI and large language model usage. His contributions reflect a core preoccupation with how machines reshape human meaning, trust, and intellectual infrastructure. Driven by a commitment to socially-responsible and community-led innovation, Dang is the Founder and President of Synaperge, an interdisciplinary forum that hosts more than 60 members internationally. Under his leadership, the organization has curated seminars on social implications of technology, launched a specialized AI Ethics course, and incubated various community innovation projects exploring the societal implications of emerging technologies.
